Increase In Support For Scottish Independence Among Young People

Backing for independence among voters aged between 18 to 24 years old stood at 58 per cent, according to the latest Ipsos MORI survey on voting intentions for the 2014 referendum. A opinion poll last October put support in the same age group at just 27%. The poll also gave Nicola Sturgeon on 50% a higher approval rating than Alistair Darling on 33% the leader of the campaign to keep Scotland in the UK.
